Who writes your paper, and how you choose them
Every writer working here holds at least a master’s degree in the field they write in, and every one of them got in by clearing two interviews, a subject-knowledge test and a full trial order before touching a customer’s paper. This page sets out that process, explains how your order is matched to a person rather than to whoever is free, and lists the filters you can use to pick a writer yourself.
What makes a professional essay writer: experience, relevance, quality
Three things decide who writes for you, and they are checked in that order.
Experience
Nobody joins as a beginner. The minimum credential is a completed master’s degree; a large part of the team holds a doctorate or is working toward one, and writers who take business, finance and management subjects frequently hold an MBA. Academic writing is a format with its own rules — argument structure, source hierarchy, citation discipline across APA, MLA, Chicago, Harvard and the rest — and we hire people who already know those rules rather than people who will learn them on your deadline.
Relevance
A writer is matched to your subject, not to an empty slot. A book review goes to someone with an MA or PhD in literature. A history essay goes to a history graduate. A chemistry lab report goes to a chemist. That sounds obvious, and it is exactly what separates a staffed service from a marketplace that hands your file to whichever freelancer replies first. We cover 49 paper types across 110 subjects, and routing looks at subject area first and availability second.
Quality
Every finished paper is checked for originality and read back against your instructions before it reaches your account. If something you asked for is missing, send it back: revisions are free for 14 days after first delivery, and 30 days on long work such as a dissertation, thesis, research proposal or dissertation chapter. The exact wording lives in our guarantees.
How we hire: two interviews, a test, and a trial order
Applicants clear three stages, and the order matters.
Two interviews. The first covers background — degrees, subjects, the academic work the applicant has actually done. The second is about fit: working to somebody else’s instructions instead of their own preferences, handling a fixed deadline, taking a revision request without argument.
A subject-knowledge and writing test. Not one test but two, and both have to pass. A fluent writer with shaky subject knowledge does not get in, and neither does a subject expert who cannot hold an academic format.
A paid trial order. The final stage is a real order, written from scratch and reviewed end to end. It shows what no interview can: whether the person delivers on time, follows instructions to the letter, and produces work a customer would accept. Support agents go through their own testing before they are allowed to answer you, for the same reason.
How to hire an online essay writer you choose yourself
You are not obliged to take the writer the system proposes. When you place an order you can narrow the field by:
- Country — UK, USA, Canada or Australia
- Native-speaker status, if English fluency is something you want to specify
- Academic qualification — master’s or doctorate
- Experience — completed orders and customer ratings
- A specific writer by name, if you have worked with one before
After your first order, a writer you got on with can be set as your preferred writer from your account, and later orders go to them when they are available. If they are booked out for your deadline, you choose between waiting and picking someone else from the same subject pool.
Quality tiers and the writer behind each one
The tier you select changes the writer you get, and it changes what you pay. It does not change the deadline or the length.
| Tier | Who writes it |
|---|---|
| Standard | Master’s degree in your subject |
| Premium | Master’s or doctoral degree in your subject |
| Platinum | Doctorate-level writer where the subject has one; master’s or PhD otherwise |
| Medical School / Law School | Specialist tiers offered on the relevant paper types |
Your academic level — high school, undergraduate, master’s or PhD — is recorded on the order and shapes how the paper is pitched, but it does not change the price. Tier, length and deadline do. Current figures come straight from the order system and are shown on prices.
What your deadline does to your choice of writer
Deadlines run from 3 hours to 2 months: 3 hours to 10 days on short work such as an essay, stretching to 20 days, 30 days or two months on a dissertation or thesis. Two things tighten as the clock runs down. The first is the page cap: a one-day essay tops out well below what a three-day one allows, and the order form enforces that limit rather than warning you about it later. The second is the pool of people who can take it. Fewer writers are free at three hours’ notice than at ten days’, and the specialist you would otherwise have been matched to may already be mid-order for someone else. Ordering a week ahead is the difference between choosing your writer and accepting whoever is open.
You are the manager of your paper
Once a writer is assigned, the order is yours to run from your account. You can:
- Track the order status at every stage
- Message the writer directly, with no agent relaying between you
- Upload sources, rubrics, slides or a marked-up draft at any point
- Add paid extras
- Download the paper and request a revision
Direct contact with the writer is the part customers under-use. Two lines on day one — the rubric your professor handed out in class, the source your department insists on, a thesis statement you have already committed to in a proposal — prevent the sort of revision request that costs days at the end. Support is on email at [email protected] around the clock, but for anything about the content of the paper, message the writer.
What a writer here will not do
Our writers produce model and reference work built to your instructions. What you do with it inside your institution’s rules is your decision, and we set out that position plainly on academic integrity. No writer here will promise you a particular grade, sit an assessment for you, or log into a university system on your behalf. Requests of that kind are refused, whatever the deadline.
If you want to know how the work actually lands, ratings from 11,474 customers — 4.41 out of 5 all-time, 4.63 over the last three years — are published on reviews.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I choose my own essay writer?
- Yes. On the order form you can filter the selection by country, native-speaker status, degree level and experience, or name a writer you have worked with before. After your first order you can set a preferred writer in your account, and later orders go to them when they are free.
- Where can I find the best online essay writer for my subject?
- Match on subject before anything else. Ask any service which degree the assigned writer holds in your field, and whether you can message that person directly rather than through an agent. Our orders route by subject area across 110 subjects, and the ratings are published on our reviews page.
- How do I hire an online essay writer?
- Fill in the order form with paper type, subject, deadline, length and instructions, choose a quality tier, apply any writer filters, and pay. Work starts once payment clears, and the writer appears in your account with a message thread. Deadlines run from 3 hours to 2 months.
- Are your essay writers native English speakers?
- Some are and some are not, and you can require a native speaker on the order form if that matters to you. You can also restrict the selection to writers based in the UK, USA, Canada or Australia. Every writer passed a written test in English before being hired.
- What happens if the writer misses something in my instructions?
- Send a revision request from your account. Revisions are free for 14 days after first delivery, and 30 days for dissertations, theses, research proposals, thesis proposals and dissertation chapters. The QA department may decline a request that changes the original instructions rather than correcting the work against them.
- What qualifications do your writers hold?
- A completed master's degree in the subject is the minimum for joining. Many hold a doctorate or are working toward one, and writers who take business, finance and management subjects often hold an MBA. The tier you pick on the order form decides which of them you get.
