Academic Integrity and How to Use What We Write

Hiring a writer is legal in most places, but that is the smaller half of the answer. The bigger half is what your school’s rules say about submitting work you did not write, and that half is yours to check. This page sets out our position openly so you can decide before you spend anything.

Commissioning writing and paying for it is ordinary commerce. Ghostwriting predates the internet by centuries: memoirs, speeches, trade books and corporate reports are routinely written by someone whose name is not on the cover, and no general law forbids the arrangement. Nothing about the transaction between you and us is unusual or hidden.

What the law does regulate is plagiarism, which means presenting someone else’s words or ideas as your own without attribution. Your university regulates the same thing, usually through an academic misconduct policy rather than a court. A few countries have gone further and legislated about this market itself, and campus rules differ, so the only answer that is actually true for you is the one printed in your own institution’s handbook. Read it before you order, not after.

One argument you will see elsewhere deserves to be closed off here. Yes, the document we deliver belongs to you and we never resell or republish it. But owning a file is a commercial fact. It is not permission from your professor, and we are not going to pretend the two are the same thing.

What You Are Actually Buying

A custom document written to the instructions you give us: topic, sources, citation style, page count, deadline. We call it model and reference work, and we mean that literally rather than as a legal fig leaf. It is a worked example of how a writer with a graduate degree in your subject would approach your prompt.

That is useful in concrete ways. You can read the structure and see how a thesis gets set up, supported and defended. You can take the bibliography as a reading list and go to the sources yourself. You can argue with it, because the fastest route to your own position is often reading a competent version of a different one. And if what you really need is a second pair of eyes, editing and proofreading are order types in their own right, so you can send the draft you already wrote instead of commissioning a new paper. Rates for every type are live on prices.

Is This Any Different From Hiring a Tutor?

The logic is the same, and so is the limit. You hire a tutor because a concept is not landing and someone who already understands it can shorten the path for you. Nobody calls that cheating, because what you keep at the end is your own understanding.

A delivered paper is a document rather than a conversation, and that is the difference worth being honest about. A tutoring hour ends with something in your head; an order ends with a file on your desktop. What happens between those two states is the entire question. Read it, take it apart, and make what you submit yours. You can message the writer directly from your account while the work is in progress, and asking why a paragraph is built the way it is turns a file back into a tutorial. How it works covers the mechanics.

Plagiarism and Originality Are Not the Same Thing

Students use the two words interchangeably, but they measure different things.

Plagiarism is an attribution problem. If words or ideas came from somewhere else and the source is not credited, that is plagiarism, and a similarity checker is reasonably good at catching the copied-text version of it.

Originality is an argument problem. A paper can return a clean similarity report and still be poor scholarship: a chain of summary with no claim of its own, nothing at stake, nothing the writer had to defend. No software flags that. Your grader does, in the margin.

Everything we deliver is written from scratch against your instructions and checked for originality before it reaches you, with sources cited in whichever style you specified, whether that is APA, MLA, Turabian, Chicago, Harvard, Oxford, Vancouver or CSE. We aim at the second standard, not only the first.

Where AI Fits

Your order is written by the person assigned to it. Machine-generated drafts passed off as human writing are not accepted from our writers, and a writer who tries it does not stay on the roster. That roster is built through two interviews, a subject-knowledge and writing test, and a paid trial order before anyone touches a live assignment, which you can read about on the writers page.

We also make no claims about AI detectors. They return false positives on human writing and false negatives on machine writing, and a service that builds a promise on their output is promising something it does not control. What we control is who writes your paper and how.

If you use AI in your own work, your institution’s rules on that apply as well, and those rules have been rewritten on a lot of campuses lately. Check the current version rather than the one you read in your first year.

What We Will Not Do

  • We do not sell secrecy. Concealment is not a product, and a service whose pitch rests on it is selling you a risk it will not be around to carry.
  • We do not promise a grade, a pass or an admission decision. Nobody who has not read your grading rubric is in a position to.
  • We do not claim your paper will defeat any particular plagiarism or AI detector.
  • We do not resell, republish or reuse your paper for another customer.
  • We do not ask for your university login, and we do not contact your institution for any reason.

If You Change Your Mind

You can. Cancel before a writer is assigned and the refund is full, under clause 9.4 of the Terms. After assignment it goes case by case through support or the message thread on your order. Revisions are free for 14 days after first delivery, and 30 days for dissertations, theses, research proposals, thesis proposals and dissertation chapters; the QA department may decline a request that changes the original instructions, because that is a new order rather than a revision. All of it is written down in guarantees and in the Terms, not merely implied.

If those are terms you can work with, the order form is the next step. If you would rather see what other people made of the same bargain first, the ratings sit on reviews.

Frequently asked questions

Is it illegal to pay someone to write my essay?
No general law makes the transaction a crime, and paid ghostwriting has existed for centuries outside academia. What is regulated is plagiarism, and separately, what your institution's academic misconduct policy permits. Some countries have begun legislating about this market directly, so check the rules that apply where you study.
Will my paper pass Turnitin?
We do not make that promise, and we would be wary of any service that does. Your paper is written from scratch to your instructions and checked for originality before delivery, with every source cited in the style you chose. What a similarity checker reports also depends on your institution's database and settings, which are not ours to see or control.
Can I hand in the paper exactly as you send it?
That decision is yours, and your institution's rules govern it rather than we do. We deliver model and reference work, and we will not tell you that submitting it unchanged carries no risk. If you want something you can hand in without that question hanging over it, order editing or proofreading on a draft you wrote yourself.
Do you use AI to write papers?
No. Orders are written by the writer assigned to them, and machine-generated drafts are not accepted from our writers. We also make no claim about what an AI detector will say about any piece of text, because those tools are wrong in both directions often enough to be useless as a promise.
Who owns the paper after you deliver it?
You do, and we do not resell it, publish it or hand it to another customer. That is a commercial arrangement, though, and it does not settle the academic question. Owning a file is not the same as your course giving you permission to submit it.
